Description

The only reason I wanted to draw this picture was because I really wanted to see how advanced I could make my art look. I was talking to Kio, and we were talking about selling art for actual money. I wanted to do it, but I didn't think my art was advanced enough. So I was looking around Gaia, and saw people wanting to open up joint art shops. Psh. Like I could have really done that! Everyone in those shops have great art. But I wanted to have art that was good like that too! So I hunted down someone wanting a free avatar art: da_rk_st_ar. Cool avatar, and easy enough for me to pull off. I also pulled out a new photoshop tutorial so I could read up on how different things were done. The ending result was this picture. It's the first picture I've ever spent this long on, and the first time I've done a CG quite like this. :333

Sketched in pencil, lineart and coloring in photoshop.

Psh, what are you thanking them for? They aren't helping you with their comments. Con/crit for the win!

Alright, she looks a bit tilted. Now, I've had tilted works, too, and usually you just have to pay attention to how you hold the paper when you draw. But sometimes it's a perspective problem, so keep in mind that the chin is always over the supporting ankle. Right now she looks she's about to fall over backwards.
Um... not really sure where your light source is coming from... I have troubles with that, too, and sometimes what I do to help that is to draw a little smiley-face sun where I want my main light source. xD The rays of light do actually point out where it's going. Another thing with your lighting that you should try out is to have a secondary light source where the demonic pendant is. It would make it look like a flaring star and not just a weird pink jewel. -nods- :3
The nitemare headband look a little floppy. Try keeping a picture of the item or of a bat nearby when you next try those. There are bones in there somewhere that you have draw.
I like how you drew the hand holding the pitchfork, but the other looks awkward. An easy solution to this is to have her doing something with her hand, like hold her hip or something.
The eyes do look nice aside from the squiggly white line. Highlights are better done in seperate strokes, and with the dodge tool if you can manage it.
Oh, and her arms are short. The fingertips should just end about mid-thigh.
Otherwise, good job and keep practicing! (: Don't be discouraged either, even the best artists have lots of room to improve.
